(KNSI) — The mayors of St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, and Waite Park have signed a joint proclamation recognizing National Volunteer Week.
The week runs through April 26th to honor volunteers under this year’s theme: “Shining a Light on the People and Causes That Inspire Us to Serve.”
The public is invited to a Volunteer Celebration Open House on Wednesday, April 22nd, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the St. Cloud Great River Regional Library, First Floor Community Rooms. No registration is required.
The event is hosted by the St. Cloud Area Volunteer Coordinators, a network of 35 local nonprofits and human service agencies. Guests can connect with volunteers, enjoy snacks, and participate in service projects, including making greeting cards for United Way, fidget items for ConnectAbility, Mother’s Day gifts for Good Shepherd, kennel ID tags for Tri-County Humane Society, and bracelets for school children through AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP.
