(KNSI) – After more than a year without an audience, the Paramount Center for the Performing Arts in St. Cloud will play to a live crowd.

The Paramount Theatre will open on May 6th with the Fabulous Armadillos. Tickets go on sale on April 20th.

Paramount Director Gretchen Boulka says the audience will be limited.

“So, there are 12 shows. And each show we are able to have 200 people in the theater. And that the reason for that is that that is the number that we can do when we distance people as the state requires.”

People who had tickets to the Fabulous Armadillos Show in 2020 can use them now.

The concert is The Fabulous Armadillos “What’s Going On?” Songs from the Vietnam War Era.

Boulka says the Paramount will follow state regulations which include mask-wearing and social distancing.

“We are still in COVID time, and that we have a lot of procedures in place, including, you know, wearing masks and distancing. And so we’re really counting on people to abide by those regulations that the state has put forth. And really, what that does is it helps us stay open.”

The Paramount Theatre’s last live show was on March 13th of 2020.
