(KNSI) — In honor of Earth Day, Stearns County Parks Department is offering free parking at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve.
The park is open every day of the year from 8:00 a.m. to one-half hour after sunset. From Labor Day through Memorial Day, parking is $5, but on Wednesday, that fee is waived for people to get outside and enjoy the weather and trails. There are hard-packed aggregate and natural surface trails for walking or running and bicycling. Leashed dogs are also welcome and will find plenty of sticks.
Free parking is also available this Saturday as part of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ free park day.
