(KNSI) — Paramount Center for the Arts has announced its May lineup, featuring live concerts, comedy, aerial performance, and hands-on visual arts classes.
The month’s headliner is rock band Quiet Riot, performing May 8th at 7:30 p.m. The band was among the first heavy metal acts to top the Billboard charts.
Home Free brings its Highways & High Seas Tour to the Paramount on May 12th and 13th at 7:30 p.m. Other stage performances include Pamela McNeill: Janis, Stevie, Dolly and Me on May 15th, Eureka Aerial “Bucket List” on May 17th, Mason-Dixon Line on May 21st, and comedian Paula Poundstone on May 22nd.
Visual arts classes run throughout the month, including an Intro to Printmaking workshop on May 2nd, a Twin Cities bus trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Art on May 13th, a Rosemaling Plates class on May 16th, and a Glass Mosaic Jewelry session on May 19th.
On May 26th, the Paramount Granite Lobby will host Art Club, a collective art experience showcasing work by artists with disabilities, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
