(KNSI) – A local education foundation is putting more than $27,000 into after-school activities across St. Cloud Area School District 742 this spring.

The LEAF 742 Education Foundation announced Monday it has awarded 16 grants through its 2026 spring grant cycle. The money will go to athletic teams and activity clubs at middle and high schools throughout the district.

Executive Director Natalie Copeland says the grants give students opportunities. “Because of generous LEAF donors, young people across our district have access to the equipment, experiences, and opportunities that help them grow, connect, and succeed.”

Among the projects funded this cycle is a second outdoor water station at North Junior High. The foundation says the addition responds to growing participation in school activities.

The foundation says its mission is to expand access and opportunity for District 742 students, giving them the chance to discover interests, build confidence, and connect with their schools.
