(KNSI) – City officials are warning residents of a scheduled controlled burn near the St. Cloud Area Family YMCA this Thursday.
The fires will be set in the local rain gardens between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Flames and smoke will likely be visible from Northway Drive. The St. Cloud Public Services Engineering Department assures residents that the burns will be closely monitored and conducted under strict safety conditions.
To keep emergency lines clear, officials ask that residents refrain from calling 911 to report smoke or fire in this specific area during the scheduled window.
