(KNSI) – The School District 748 has selected Nick Peterson as the next principal of Sartell Middle School, with his tenure beginning July 1st.
Peterson currently serves as an assistant principal at Sartell High School, a position he has held since 2016. During the 2021-2022 school year, he also stepped in as the interim activities director.
Superintendent Michael Rivard praised the selection, saying Peterson brings a strong record of leadership in the district’s secondary buildings and a deep understanding of how to prepare students for a successful transition to Sartell High School.
Peterson said he is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the school community and looks forward to building on the district’s strong foundation alongside students, staff, and families.
Peterson holds a Master of Education in Learning and Teaching from St. Mary’s University and an undergraduate degree in Social Studies Education from St. Cloud State University.
Peterson takes over for Angela Safran, who has served as Sartell Middle School principal. Safran has been selected to serve as the district’s Director of Learning and Teaching, also beginning July 1st.
