(KNSI) – Officials have confirmed the identity of a man killed in a February trailer fire in Clear Lake Township.
DNA testing confirmed it was Andrew Paul Kritzeck who died on February 17th. The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the cause of death as carbon monoxide poisoning and the manner of death as accidental.
According to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and firefighters were called to a property in the 3100 block of River Road Southeast at 6:25 a.m. First responders found a trailer fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was put out, investigators discovered a person inside the trailer’s remains.
The 44-year-old was known to friends and family as Andy and leaves behind four children.
The community has been rallying around the Kritzeck family through a fundraiser established in their name. According to a GoFundMe account, funds raised will help cover immediate expenses, household needs, and ongoing support for the children as they adjust to life without their father. So far, nearly $30,000 has been collected.
Monetary donations and gift cards may also be dropped off in person at St. Katharine Drexel School in St. Cloud.
