(KNSI) — The Public Safety Foundation is partnering with local organizations to offer free walk-in healthcare services at the East Side Community Outpost.
The location inside Salem Lutheran Church provides both nurse practitioner visits and nurse-only visits at no cost to individuals and families.
Nurse practitioner visits include onsite testing for conditions such as urinary tract infections and pregnancy, basic medical care, illness visits, sports physicals, and referrals to additional resources. Nurse-only visits offer blood pressure and blood sugar checks, guidance on stress reduction and healthy eating habits, and help connecting patients with community resources.
The clinic operates on a rotating schedule. Dates offering both nurse practitioner and nurse services are March 25th; April 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th; and May 6th, 13th, and 27th. Dates with nurse visits only are March 18th; April 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th; and May 4th. The clinic runs from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on scheduled dates, with no appointment necessary.
The East Side Community Outpost is a collaborative effort between the Public Safety Foundation, the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, and Project H.E.A.L. The outpost is located at 90 Riverside Drive SE in St. Cloud.
