(KNSI) – The Sauk Rapids-Rice School District is seeking suggestions to name its new early childhood learning center.

The district states it believes the naming of the center is a community decision and wants a name that reflects the area’s values. Students, staff, families, and community members are welcome to share their suggestions.

Organizers ask people to consider local history, historical figures, or regional features. Submissions should include the meaning or inspiration behind the name and explain how it connects to the district’s vision of creating a path to education for every student.

Voters approved building the $37.2 million education facility in November 2025. The facility will house the district’s preschool and childcare programs.

The center will begin accepting students in August 2027. To submit your suggestion to the district, click here.
