(KNSI) — The Stearns County Parks Department is ready to reimagine Quarry Park and Nature Preserve.

For the first time since 1995, officials are updating the Master Plan pertaining to the popular fishing, hiking, and swimming spot. The department has recently tabbed Quarry Park for expanded mountain bike trails, a new amphitheater and interpretive center, and other amenities.

Those plans can be changed depending on user feedback. The questionnaire should take around 5-10 minutes to finish. It will be open online through February 16th. A link is here. The survey asks about how people use Quarry Park and any improvements they’d like to see.

There is a second option to provide feedback. Stearns County has made available an online map where respondents can make detailed comments and pin them to the section of the park they apply to. The comments are truly public, meaning anyone who logs in can see what others have written, allowing for group collaboration. The online map is here.
