(KNSI) — It was a packed meeting room Wednesday at the Stearns County Service Center as contractors showed strong interest in getting involved with the new Justice Center build.

Project Manager Krause-Anderson held a pre-bid meeting to explain the different types of work needed to make the $300 million-plus project a reality. Officials ran through the roles available and the scope of the work, answering questions as needed. Kraus-Anderson also held outreach meetings in early December, as part of a push to get local firms on board. The company hopes that by creating as much interest as possible in the build, it will pay off with bids coming in under estimates.

All questions from contractors regarding the type and scope of work must be submitted by Friday, January 29th. Official bids have to be received by the cut-off of February 5th at 2:00 p.m.

A list of the different bid categories can be found here.
