Love Story Wedding Show Helps St. Cloud Couples Turn Holiday Engagements Into Wedding Plans

(KNSI) – The start of the year is often the beginning of a couple’s journey to marriage, and they can take their first steps in planning this weekend.

In St. Cloud, the Love Story Wedding Show is one local retailer’s attempt at answering all the questions one could have leading up to their big day in an organized manner. “What I was experiencing on the floral side of things was there was a lot of couples that had this frenetic energy coming off of getting engaged over the holidays, coming off of the new year, and everybody kind of goes into planning mode…January through March was just kind of chaotic energy.”

Green Thumb Owner and show organizer, Ashley Green, does up to 50 wedding arrangements a year. From that, she has formed a network of vendors that represent everything from local halls and venues to planners and photographers. At the expo on Sunday, January 11th, they will be on hand to meet with visitors one-on-one, especially during the VIP hour starting at 10:00 a.m.

The general admission session runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is anchored by the 104.7 KCLD fashion show. “We’ve got a lot of really great wedding clothiers that are going to be showcasing what it is that they have to sell. And we have a woman who makes bridal gowns as well.”

Before they walk through the doors, Green has one tip for couples to get the most out of the expo itself and eventually their wedding. “If you see your dream bouquet, or your dream venue, or your dream setup and decor on Pinterest, nobody else who’s going to attend your wedding has also seen that, that’s what you saw. So, if you work something into your budget that is similar, but more realistic for you…love it!”
