(KNSI) – Central Minnesota’s main medical provider is rolling up 2025 by releasing the most popular baby names for the year.
CentraCare lists Oliver as the top choice of parents for boys and Emma as the leading pick for girls. The remaining names, in alphabetical order, are Aisha, Beau, Bennett, Cooper, Evelyn, Everett, Henry, Hudson, Liam, Lainey, Levi, Mason, Maverick, Mohamed, Rowan, Sophia, Theodore, and Violet.
They replaced 2024’s favorites of Liam for boys and Eleanor for girls. While Liam remains one of the 20 most popular names this year, Eleanor fell from the rankings entirely in 2025. Other names that fell off the top 20 list in 2025 include Amelia, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Harper, Olivia, Willow, Jackson, Noah and Owen.
CentraCare operates nine hospitals in St. Cloud, Benson, Long Prairie, Melrose, Monticello, Paynesville, Redwood Falls, Sauk Centre, and Willmar. According to the Minnesota Department of Health, about 2,850 kids were born at CentraCare medical facilities in 2025. That’s down by around 960 from the 3,810 births reported by the medical provider in 2024.
