(KNSI) – Investigators are trying to determine what started a fire that left the former Children’s Home in St. Cloud substantially damaged.
St. Cloud Fire Marshal Mike Post says they’ve been able to rule out lightning but nothing else.
Post said the building was undergoing some renovation. He says it’s too early to tell what caused the blaze.
The fire mainly damaged the east side of the building.
The building is in the 1700 block of 7th Avenue South. The fire was reported just before 2:45 Wednesday morning.
The building was once used by District 742 for the Riverwoods program and by the Diocese of St. Cloud for the St. Cloud Children’s Home.
