(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 2,535 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths around the state on Thursday.
The death count includes one Stearns County resident in their 80s and a Wright County resident in their 60s.
Around the five-county area, there are 308 newly confirmed cases: 31 in Benton County, 24 in Morrison County, 78 in Sherburne County, 85 in Stearns County and 90 in Wright County.
Out of more than 44,000 COVID-19 tests processed by the state on Wednesday, 5.7 percent returned positive results.
As for vaccinations, more than 1.9 million Minnesotans have gotten at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. They represent 34.2 percent of the state population.
