(KNSI) – Stearns County is ready to ramp up construction on the new Justice Center, with meetings planned for next week to help ensure local and regional contractors are involved.
The project’s construction manager, Kraus-Anderson, will present on Tuesday, December 9th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Thursday, December 11th, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. They’ll cover the overall project and go over the scope of work for its various components, such as electrical and plumbing. Contractors can ask any questions they might have and use the information learned to refine a potential bid to be involved in the construction.
The meetings will take place at the Stearns County Highway Department, located at 455 28th Avenue South in Waite Park. Officials say there will be 75 different roles with opportunities for a wide range of contractors. The county wants each work scope to have several bidders to ensure the best possible pricing while also using local firms.
