(KNSI) – Metro Bus has announced the holiday hours for the Northstar Link, with service affected on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
The route connects St. Cloud with the Northstar train that runs between downtown Minneapolis and Big Lake. There will be no rides available on the major holidays, and service on Christmas Eve will occur only in the morning. Metro Bus says it is business as usual on Black Friday, November 28th, and New Year’s Eve, which marks the final day of operations.
About a week later, the Northstar train itself will give its last rides before being retired and replaced by more traditional bus service. That will not extend past the Twin Cities suburbs, meaning that Northstar’s connection to St. Cloud is over.
