(KNSI) – A new ranking of colleges and universities in Minnesota has St. Cloud State University rated as one of the best.
According to Research.com, an online portal that provides rankings for scientists, universities, and academic journals, schools were scored on factors such as cost, alumni salaries, graduation rate, safety, student life, and campus.
SCSU was the fourth-best post-secondary education institution in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. The campus ranked second in the state in affordability, with tuition around $10,800 a year, and was ranked as the second-best value for college in the state. Its national ranking was 264 out of more than 1,600 institutions. The median graduate’s income at SCSU is $46,700 per year.
Another local higher education institution, College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University, was a little further down the list at 20th in the state. It is listed as the 18th most affordable and best value. The tuition is $57,700 per year, with the median alumnus salary of $45,400. The campuses were rated 1,022 in the nation.
The top three schools on the list were the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, University of Minnesota Duluth, and Minnesota State University-Mankato.
Finishing at the bottom of the list were Bethany Global University, Metropolitan State University and the University of Minnesota Rochester.
