(KNSI) – Operation Green Light wraps up its annual tour of duty tonight on Veterans Day.

For the past week, local counties have been participating. The initiative is organized by the National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers. Local government buildings are bathed in a green light to remind veterans that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.

Operation Green Light is now in its fifth year. It ran from November 4-11.

St. Cloud boasts one of the original VA Medical Center campuses, which was dedicated over a hundred years ago. Its presence helps keep veterans front of mind in central Minnesota year-round.
