(KNSI) – St. Cloud area representative Dan Wolgamott and three other DFL colleagues will hold a town hall on healthcare Thursday at the Great River Regional Library downtown branch.
Scheduled for 12:30 p.m. inside the Mississippi Room, Wolgamott will be joined by DFL Floor Leader Jamie Long, House Health Committee Co-Chair Robert Bierman, and Representative Kristi Pursell.
Wolgamott says he is looking to hear specifically from some of the 90,000 Minnesotans who would see double-digit premium increases if Affordable Care Act subsidies put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic are allowed to expire at the end of the year.
The issue led Democrats at the federal level to shut down the government since October 1st, the longest legislative logjam in history. The hope is that the shutdown will be over by the end of the week.
