(KNSI) – The Catholic Community Schools’ capital campaign received a major boost this week with a $1 million matching gift from Cross Works Foundation that will double the impact of every donation toward the campaign’s $6 million goal.
The foundation announced it will match all new gifts, dollar-for-dollar, up to $1 million to the Deeply Rooted, Growing Stronger campaign, which aims to strengthen Catholic education infrastructure in the St. Cloud area.
The campaign has built significant momentum since its launch. When the silent phase began in November 2024, organizers had raised $275,500. By the public kickoff in February, that number had grown to $700,840. A 20-day fundraising challenge in May generated additional excitement when 150 donors matched a $500,000 gift from the Coborn Family Foundation. As of November 4, the campaign has brought in $4,060,061 from 423 donors.
The capital campaign will reduce the remaining debt balance on Cathedral’s North Building expansion, upgrade HVAC systems at Cathedral, and provide $1 million for professional development and program support at CCS elementary schools.
