(KNSI) – A spectacular water circus production is making its way to the Crossroads Center mall in St. Cloud in November, bringing what organizers call an authentic Italian circus experience to central Minnesota.

Cirque Italia’s Silver Unit will perform from November 7th through the 10th, featuring approximately 25 artists from countries including Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, and the United States. The traveling show distinguishes itself as America’s first water circus, combining acrobatic performances with elaborate waterworks and high-tech effects.

Media manager and a third-generation circus performer, Erik Rassore, told KNSI News you won’t be able to take your eyes off the center ring. “We are bringing this beautiful stage that comes from Italy, and it costs a half million dollars because there’s only three stages like this in the whole world.”

The production centers around a massive pool integrated into the stage, with water features choreographed around the performers. Despite the aquatic elements, Rassore assured the audience members that they won’t get wet because the water remains contained within the performance area.

The show features jugglers, contortionists, clowns, and equilibrists performing various acts. Rassore himself performs a balancing act called Rola Bola, balancing on a cylinder over a board while juggling and jumping rope. “If you want to feel a show like this, [you would] usually [see] shows in Las Vegas or Dubai and spend a lot of money. And we are literally bringing every bit of magic at your city,” said Rassore.

Tickets are $30 to $50 and can be purchased online or by calling 941-704-8572, or at the on-site ticket office during show week from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.
