(KNSI) – The Paramount Center for the Arts will transport theatergoers this weekend to the hot, protest-ravaged streets of America circa 1969.

It is one of the most powerful shows central Minnesota has to offer. A mixture of concert, live narration, and immersive multimedia makes The Fabulous Armadillos’ “What’s Going On? Songs From the Vietnam War Era” unlike anything else. Shows are scheduled from Thursday to Sunday with tickets starting at $39.

Next week is the annual TEDxStCloud lecture series. Six speakers and two performing artists will take the stage on October 9th to discuss their personal stories, career accomplishments, and other inspirational subjects.

Set the alarm clock for a revival of the cult classic that originally starred Jane Fonda and Dolly Parton. GREAT Theatre is ready to punch in from “9 To 5.” It’s a musical comedy with a feminist touch about three women trying to conquer the workplace in the 1970s. “9 To 5” runs from October 17th to November 2nd.

Paramount officials are also encouraging people to look forward to November. Country crooner Randy Travis will be in town on Friday, November 7th, and tickets are nearly sold out. Those interested in going should scoop up tickets as soon as possible before it’s too late.
