Stearns County District 4 Candidates to Meet with Constituents September 30th

(KNSI) — The candidates for Stearns County District 4 Commissioner will meet with their constituents next week.

Amin Ali and Bob Johnson have both been invited by the League of Women Voters of the St. Cloud Area to a Meet and Greet candidate forum at the Great River Regional Library’s Mississippi Room. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 30th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

According to the organizers, it is being billed as an informal exchange of the candidates’ views and ideas. The format will allow residents to move between the candidates’ individual tables to ask questions and discuss issues. Both will be offered introductory remarks and be asked two prepared questions.

The District 4 seat is vacant following the resignation of Leigh Lenzmier in April. He retired due to health reasons after representing the district for 34 years.

Absentee voting began last Friday, and the general election is on November 4th.
