(KNSI) – Waite Park residents can breathe a sigh of relief as at least one of their tax bills will not be going up next year.

The city’s Economic Development Authority is committed to maintaining its special levy for operations at nearly the same level as 2025. The maximum proposed levy is $170,621. Officials expect the final agreed-upon 2026 figure to be $85,310, which is described as extremely close to the current budget.

The motion will be considered at the group’s next meeting on Monday, September 29th, at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Cloud Area Schools Administrative Office at 1201 2nd Street South in Waite Park.
