(KNSI) – Students at Tech High School had to go into a brief lockdown on Monday before classes could resume as normal.

According to the St. Cloud Police Department, around 10:15 a.m., a School Resource Officer assigned to Tech was alerted to a potential threat involving a student. Out of caution, school staff initiated a shelter-in-place while officers assessed the situation.

Two marked patrol units responded, and after a thorough investigation, police determined there was no danger to students or staff. The lockdown was lifted, and the rest of the school day continued.

Authorities say the case remains under active investigation, but no additional details are being released at this time.
