(KNSI) — A community-wide cereal box collection drive is underway to help stock local food shelves.
Community members can donate cereal boxes at the Whitney Senior Center, Sartell Community Center, and Sta-Fit Sartell. All donated items will directly support local families in need through area food assistance programs. The goal is to collect 1,000 boxes of cereal.
The drive will conclude with a community celebration where volunteers will arrange the collected cereal boxes into a large domino display before packaging them for distribution to local food shelves on October 9th. Organizers say the event will provide an opportunity for participants to see the collective impact of their donations while creating an engaging community experience.
According to officials with the Whitney, the cereal box drive represents part of Men’s Shed’s ongoing commitment to supporting local charitable efforts and strengthening community bonds.
