(KNSI) – The Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Foundation is holding an alumni concert on homecoming weekend to benefit current students.

The show starts at 5:00 p.m. at Benton Station on Saturday, September 20th. Live acts set to hit the stage include Sheldon Weston, Greg Schultz, and Mallrats. Tickets are only $30 with all of the proceeds going to the SSREF.

The foundation provides funds to student activities outside of the general operational budget. In 2024, it gave a grant to the Storm Store inside the high school to sell team merchandise. It also donated to hands-on science activities for kindergartners and a program meant to encourage elementary students who are reluctant readers to crack open a book, among many other initiatives.
