(KNSI) – The Sartell Sabres will take the field this Friday for the third annual Tackle Cancer game, continuing a team tradition to continue the fight against cancer.
This year’s game will once again feature merchandise sales, raffles, and donation opportunities. Attendees will be eligible for prize drawings throughout the evening. All proceeds from the football game will benefit the Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund and TriUnity Foundation.
The collaboration between Sartell High School, St. Cloud Financial Credit Union, and St. Cloud Subaru has proven successful, raising over $20,000 through the annual Tackle Cancer football game over the past two years.
Fans can show their support by attending Friday’s game or purchasing Tackle Cancer merchandise, including shirts, jerseys, hats, and accessories available at the Sartell Activities Office.
The Sabres’ commitment to cancer awareness extends beyond the gridiron. The 2025-26 cancer awareness calendar will feature two additional fundraising events. Sartell volleyball’s Dig Pink night is on September 25th and Sartell boys hockey’s Stick it to Cancer night is January 15th.
Both events will focus specifically on supporting TriUnity Foundation’s mission to eliminate debt for families facing terminal illness, featuring similar merchandise sales, raffles, and donation opportunities.
