(KNSI) – The textbooks are open, the anatomy lab is buzzing, and history is being made at the University of Minnesota Medical School’s newest campus in St. Cloud.
The pioneering Class of 2029, 24 students who made headlines during their White Coat Ceremony last month, have officially begun their medical education, marking another milestone for the first U of M Medical School expansion in 50 years. They’re writing the first chapter of what promises to be a new era in training doctors and other medical professionals to work in rural healthcare.
The campus, located in CentraCare Plaza, has transformed from the raw, unfinished space some students first toured in April to a fully operational medical school.
The campus’s unique design reflects this pioneering spirit. CentraCare blue accents the first floor, while U of M maroon colors the second-story rooms.
