(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Dog Walker Watch meeting will be about yard maintenance and helping neighborhoods thrive rather than giving way to blight.
Set for August 26th from 6:30-7:30 p.m., it will take place at the Wilson Park dog park area. Presenting will be officials from the Health and Inspections Department. The group is responsible for a wide range of services, from animal control and licensing to overseeing businesses for compliance.
They are in charge of visiting restaurants, hotels, motels, and lodging establishments, rental properties, swimming pools, and other facilities to ensure compliance with basic rules and regulations that exist at the city level. The department also handles complaints over long grass or weeds and general nuisances.
Dog walkers taking a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood in the evening will often be the first to notice some of the issues handled by Health and Inspections. They’ll be taught how to raise concerns and who to reach out to when following up on the issue.
Those planning on attending on Tuesday are allowed to bring their pets. They are encouraged to play during the presentation.
