(KNSI) — The Great River Children’s Museum is making waves with its inaugural Sip N’Play night, where grown-ups can get in touch with their inner child.
Museum Vice President of Development Kelly Doss told KNSI News the 21 and over event promises to be a good time, featuring activities that will have adults racing to participate. “It’s really some hands-on fun. We’ll have some activities in our Tinker Workshop. We’re going to actually do a climber race, so it’s going to be timed. Not everybody’s going to race to the top at once, so whoever has the best time will be the winner.”
The event will also see the Headwaters Exhibit turned into a disco dance party, and staff will be winging it with the first-ever rubber duck races in the Great Big River exhibit.
At $30 per ticket, the event includes one free drink. Additional drinks will be available to buy.
Doss explained the proceeds will help replenish the museum’s Path to Play initiative. “So this helps remove cost barriers to accessing the museum. So this can help with field trips, camps, day passes. We want everybody to experience the museum, and we don’t want cost to be a barrier to that.”
Tickets are on sale and must be purchased by September 15th by clicking here. The event is on Thursday, September 18th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
