(KNSI) – Cold Spring City Council will finish up the final odds and ends of the fire hall project on Wednesday afternoon when it considers five change orders.

All of the changes involve work with the same firm. Erickson Electric would be contracted to hook up overhead door warning lights and add lights to the eaves of the training tower. They are also being asked to relocate key pads, rewire the street lighting conduit, and drill extra holes to allow for another contractor to finish their part of the project. The handful of changes will combine for a cost of $16,820.

After the business portion of the fire hall agenda items are completed, it’s time to plan a party. On the agenda is approval for an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, October 11th. The event would close Main Street from 2nd Avenue to the bridge over the Sauk River between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. that day.

The council meeting begins at 5:00 p.m.
