(KNSI) – A St. Cloud man is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting women while they were unconscious.
According to a criminal complaint, St. Cloud police received two videos showing Tyler Ross Schommer abusing two unconscious women. The videos were sent in a mass text message and subsequently reported to the department. One of the victims was identified and interviewed by police, but the other victim has not been identified. The identified victim’s uncle was among the people who received the video.
Investigators say Schommer’s girlfriend threatened the victim with a gun if she told anyone about the video, after the mass text was sent.
The identified victim says the violation took place on March 25th at a Sherburne County property southeast of St. Cloud referred to as the “compound,” where Schommer lived.
Multiple people, including the victim, told police that the 37-year-old, who goes by “Sarge,” is known to sexually assault women who are passed out and later tries to convince them that they consented. The victim allegedly said Schommer gives women the sedative GHB to put them into a deep sleep, and claims he also “chokes” women for the same effect. The victim said Schommer has done this to her multiple times.
He has been charged with 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct and is being held in the Sherburne County Jail. Schommer is scheduled to appear in court on August 13th for a pre-trial hearing.
