(KNSI) – Get ready to run where the cows roam.
Join the inaugural Stearns County Fair Milk Run 5K on August 9th at the Stearns County Fairgrounds. This one-of-a-kind race celebrates the region’s dairy heritage during the heart of fair season.
The run takes place at the Stearns County Fairgrounds. The starting gun will sound near the fair office, and participants will wind their way through the grounds before returning to the office to break the tape. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join in to honor the hardworking dairy farmers who keep our community thriving.
Current dairy farmers and their immediate family members receive free registration as our way of celebrating those who make our dairy industry possible. For all other participants, early bird registration is just $15 through July 28th. After that date, registration increases to $20 and remains at that price through August 5th, when online registration closes at midnight. Race day registration will also be available starting at 7:00 AM at the fairgrounds for $20.
After crossing the finish line, runners will cool down with refreshing cold chocolate milk provided by Stony Creek Dairy near Spring Hill and have the chance to meet a calf and the Stearns County Dairy Princesses.
