(KNSI) – Severe thunderstorms are taking aim again at central Minnesota.
A watch is in effect until 10:00 p.m., but severe thunderstorm warnings are already cropping up. The first carved a path through northern Meeker and Wright Counties into Stearns County. It rumbled over Litchfield, Cold Spring, Rockville, Kimball, and others, bringing heavy rain, 60-mile-per-hour winds, and quarter-sized hail.
Hail pelted vehicles, and wind ripped at roofs, siding, and trees. The line of storms ran from 20 miles southwest of St. Cloud all the way until about 15 miles east of Willmar.
The National Weather Service recommends seeking shelter in an interior room of a house or building to stay safe during the storms.
