(KNSI) – The men and women who keep our community safe will be behind the counter at Culver’s on Thursday, July 31st, to help raise money for muscular dystrophy.

St. Cloud Firefighters Local 464 is giving a lift to the Fill the Boot campaign from 5:00 to 7:00 that evening at the location in southeast St. Cloud off Highway 10 and 15th Avenue. The restaurant has earmarked 10% of all sales during that two-hour window to go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

In addition to delicious treats, staff will have vehicles on display for customers to get to know on an up close and personal basis.

MD is actually a group of diseases that are passed down through genetics. It leads to an ever-worsening degeneration of a person’s skeletal muscles. Those suffering from MD typically have general muscle weakness. They struggle with basic movements. In severe cases, the muscles that help the heart beat and the lungs breathe are affected, making every day a fight for survival.
