(KNSI) – A house fire in St. Cloud Monday night sent flames 20 feet high and caused significant damage to a home in the 1500 block of 11th Avenue Southeast.
According to the fire department’s Critical Incident Report, around 10:20, crews arrived to find a large fire in the rear of the residence that was spreading to items in the backyard. Firefighters had a hard time getting to the flames due to their intensity and items stored in the yard. The Sartell and Sauk Rapids Fire Departments were called in for mutual aid, but more damage was stopped thanks to a quick, coordinated fire attack.
Fire officials are investigating the cause.
