(KNSI) — St. Cloud Financial Credit Union, in collaboration with the TriUnity Foundation, has distributed 23 financial relief grants worth $95,000 to those who are weathering the storm of a terminal illness diagnosis.

The grants cover essential expenses while providing emotional relief during an incredibly challenging time.

The TriUnity Foundation enables credit union members nationwide to seek financial assistance when facing a terminal illness diagnosis. Applications undergo review by a medical advisory committee, with grant decisions based on medical need, diagnosis severity, and family circumstances.

“For members struggling under the weight of medical and financial pressures, these grants represent far more than monetary assistance—they offer hope,” said TriUnity Foundation Board Chair LeAnn Case. “These recipients aren’t anonymous statistics. They’re real people within our communities. Supporting them defines our mission.”

“This partnership is a meaningful extension of the credit union philosophy—people helping people,” said SCFCU President and CEO Jed Meyer. “Our members are more than account numbers. When they face life’s hardest seasons, we want them to know their credit union
stands with them.”

The relief effort was made possible through the combined generosity of SCFCU alongside partner credit unions and bolstered by proceeds from the Foundation’s Light the Way Gala held in March.
