(KNSI) – The focus is on the family during Foley Fun Days on Tuesday.
Activities kick off at 2:00 p.m. with dueling events. Card games and board games will be set up at the American Legion. Over at the library, the ambassadors are reading to kids ages three to 12. On top of story time, snacks and craftmaking are on the agenda. The Jolly Pops are the entertainment on the main stage. Their show involves a mixture of music, learning, and puppets.
The festival transforms into a carnival with a live petting zoo, an ice cream social, and the Midway rides in the evening. The activities are designed for the young and the young at heart, including the kiddie parade. Organizer Juanita Beauchamp says, “Tuesday is our Family Fun Night, and so we do have carnival games going on. We have the kiddie parade. Registration starts at 5:45, and the parade starts at 6:00.”
Kids also have a chance to pick up some more brownie points just 48 hours after Father’s Day. Dear ol’ dad is sure to have a blast at the Heavenly Hot Rod Show at St. John’s Catholic Church from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The donation of a non-perishable food item is suggested for admission.
Tuesday is the second-to-last day of the event.
