(KNSI) – Stearns County is working with the Minnesota Select Committee on Recycling and the Environment program to offer grants to reduce reserve rubber littering properties.
The grants offer up to $2,500 to individuals, businesses, farmers, cities and townships, and others to help with tire recycling. Applicants have to submit a form and W-9, plus prove that they can cover 25% of the total cost.
The tires can only be taken to licensed recycling facilities, which will provide receipts. When those are sent in, reimbursement will be approved.
