District 742 Relocates Welcome Center and Transitional Services to Administration Office in Waite Park

(KNSI) – District 742 is relocating its Welcome Center and Transitional Services to the St. Cloud Area School District Administration Office.

According to a press release, the move will allow the district to better care for the growing needs of its early childhood and adult basic education programs. The programs play a key role in supporting families and students new to the district. The Welcome Center assists with student enrollment and connects families with resources, while Transitional Services offers support and referrals to help students prepare for school.

The new location, at 1201 2nd Street South in Waite Park, is just a mile north of the current spot inside Quarryview Education Center.

School officials say, despite the move, there will be no disruption to its operation. Transitional Services will start working out of the new space on June 10th, followed by the Welcome Center on June 12th.
