(KNSI) – Saint John’s Prep has named science teacher Sarah Pasela the 2025 winner of the prestigious Twomey Family Teaching Excellence Award.
The honor recognizes educators who demonstrate unwavering dedication to their students, school, academic discipline, and teaching profession. Pasela teaches various science courses at Saint John’s Prep, including biology, anatomy, and biotechnology. According to a press release, her influence extends beyond the classroom as one of the directors of the Honors Senior Capstone program. In this role, she works with others to teach and advise student essays and research projects and mentor students.
Pasela was nominated for the award by colleagues, parents, and students. In addition to the recognition, the award includes a $5,000 honorarium.
Pasela’s outstanding contributions were celebrated during the school’s annual A2E Scholarship and Community Day.
