(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Police Department believes they’ve busted a pair of graffiti vandals who’ve caused thousands of dollars in damage and are looking for other suspects.
The SCPD says it has been investigating multiple complaints in the downtown area and other parts of the city for months. Detectives identified the tagger “Besh” as a 22-year-old man. Officers believe he can be linked to thousands of dollars in damage.
The tagger “Vanish” was identified as a 16-year-old boy who is a summertime resident of St. Cloud and is originally from Kansas. He’s been connected to 15 acts, leading to more than $3,000 in clean-up costs in the downtown and southside.
Both are facing felony-level charges due to the number of victims and the amount of money it’s taken to remove the graffiti.
The SCPD is working on identifying other suspects who have been spray painting buildings and wants anyone who sees anything suspicious to call the police. They say cooperation from local businesses and residents will deter further vandalism. Officials say graffiti will not be tolerated in this city.
KNSI News has a policy of not identifying suspects until they are formally charged.
