(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Police Department plans to crisscross the city for National Night Out again this year, visiting events being held in dozens of neighborhoods.
National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5th. The SCPD is asking organizers to register their gatherings through an online form. A link is here.
Officials say they can’t show up if they don’t know about an event. The goal is to avoid missing any. National Night Out is about connecting neighbors under the idea that if residents have a personal bond to each other, they will be less likely to commit crimes that affect them. They’ll also take steps to actively watch out for potential crimes and report anything suspicious to avert it.
