(KNSI) – Walkers in St. Cloud, Duluth, and the Twin Cities helped raise $16,000 for stroke survivors and their families.
Organizers say an impressive total was raised during Saturday’s Strides for Stroke events. Officials report that over $3,300 was donated in the final 24 hours leading up to the walk. St. Cloud’s event was held at CentraCare Plaza.
The time together is meant to honor stroke survivors and others to walk in solidarity. It also raises awareness and helps fund programs that benefit caregivers and their loved ones. Some examples include linking people to information on brain injuries, stroke basics classes, and volunteer and outreach opportunities.
