(KNSI) – St. Cloud Area Restaurant Week wraps up Saturday with recommendations from those who should know best.

Have you ever sat down and needed some help selecting an entree, and asked the hostess for help? What if you could instead go straight to the owner? According to Visit Greater St. Cloud Executive Director Rachel Thompson, everyone gets that chance now. “This was fun to see. What is it that the owners eat after hours or when they’re picking up food to bring home to their family?”

It’s a nice mix of entrees from the likes of the Pickled Loon and their fried chicken and street corn tacos to desserts such as the strawberry matcha cookie at Copper Pony.

It appears that the men and women in control of the kitchen have a sweet tooth. Thompson notes ice cream is on the menu to go with the cookies. “Jupiter Moon is doing their dirty soda ice cream floats. They also have a wonderful free scoop coupon for anybody who’s doing a dirty soda during Restaurant Week.”

Catalina’s Michoacana loves to slurp down mangonadas, a frozen drink with mangoes and lime juice, with a touch of chili powder. Flat Iron Nutrition gets ready for a gym session with a delicious blueberry fritter and Oreo dirt dessert.
