(KNSI) – Pantown Brewing in St. Cloud brews some of the best beer in the world, and has the hardware to prove it.

The brewery’s Coffee Cream Ale beat out 69 other entries to win the gold in the coffee beer category at Thursday’s 2025 World Beer Cup in Indianapolis. Co-owner Marty Czech explained to KNSI News the inspiration for the sublime suds. “We use our flagship cream ale beer, the classic cream a that we’ve brewed since the day we opened, and we added Muggsy’s beans to it. Years ago, we started doing this because I happen to like coffee cream ales. We entered in the contest and won the highest award that we can get for it, which is fantastic.”

He says the St. Cloud coffee roaster beans are the secret ingredient and wouldn’t share which bean they use. Czech says drinking the beer concoction is an experience. “One of the things I really like about it, is it kind of messes with your senses a little bit. It’s a creamy, light-flavored beer with coffee flavors and aromas incorporated into it.”

The beer is available year-round in the taproom.

This is the second time Pantown products have been rated best nationwide. In 2022, their Drop Forge Milk Stout won a gold medal at the same competition.
