(KNSI) — The ever popular KCLD Easter Egg hunt returns on Saturday.

KNSI sister station KCLD is hosting the hunt on Saturday, April 19th, at the Waite Park Baseball Complex.

KCLD’s Kat told KNSI News one of the most enjoyable parts of the event isn’t even about the hunt itself. “We love to see all the kids as they grow up. And they start from zero when they’re babies, and then before you know it, they age out at 10. So that is the age range that we’re looking for.”

She says the event has come a long way since it first started. “This has been going on for decades, and since the 70s, and you know what? Back in the day, they used to hard boil eggs and then dye them. Can you imagine how much time that took? So now the Easter Bunny stuffs those plastic eggs, gives them to us, and we put them out there for the kids to find.”

The Easter Bunny will arrive at 9:15, and the hunt starts at 10:00 a.m.

Other Easter Egg hunts in the area include:

Hemker Park and Zoo in Freeport, April 18th, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
